A me è sempre piaciuto leggere tra le righe del testo un messaggio di speranza: lascia che la vita faccia il suo decorso, non affannarti a combattere, perché ogni situazione o avvenimento è un'opportunità di crescita sempre e comunque; sii te stesso e soprattutto non preoccuparti!La vita è un meraviglioso progetto d'amore e noi siamo chiamati a realizzarlo con il nostro contributo. Sii curioso e intraprendente, ma soprattutto sorridi!

La canzone è dedicata alla mamma di Paul McCartney,il bassista del gruppo, Mary, morta quando lui aveva 14 anni. "Let it be" significa "Lascia correre" in questo caso, come dire "ogni cosa farà il suo corso" e tutto il testo è incentrato su questa piccola/grande verità...
